This is to officially inform you that Dr Odiraa Nwankwor has joined the gallery of Nanka Students Union Sponsors. The Nanka borne US based Pediatrician has found it necessary to sponsor annual Mathematics competition for Nanka Students Union, a development that is greatly appreciated by the leadership of the Union. We must recall that the first Professor of Nanka extraction, Prof J.O.C. Ezeilo was also the first Professor of Mathematics in Nigeria. According to Achebe, he was the first Nigerian to bag First Class Honors in Mathematics from Oxford University London in 1953. He became a full fledged Professor of Mathematics in 1964. This is a precedence we should not derail from. Having known the importance of Mathematics in our modern world today, Dr Odiraa Nwankwor deemed it fit to make this an annual August competition in Nanka starting from this year to awaken the spirit of Mathematics in our students who are the future leaders and members of our community and the world at large We wish to thank Dr Nwankwor in a special way for seeing this as something worthwhile and decided to invest in it for the development of our children. We are sincerely happy with him for it is not an easy adventure though a fruitful one. May God continue to bless and uplift you Dr Odiraa. Posterity will be kind to you.
