Nanka Students Union is at it again!nonproflogo.fw

The Alumni of Nanka students Union will be inaugurated this December. Nanka students Union was formed in 1959. If you have held any position in the Union previously, please forward your name, photograph, the year and the position or office you held. Past members can also send their photographs to nankastudentsunion@yahoo.com, this is to enable us produce an almanac to commemorate this historic event.

Notable among the alumni are:

  • Professor Ben Osisioma, former Director of socials
  • Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor, former Assistant sec, and later substantive sec.
  • Sir Leonard Muoneme, Pioneer president
  • Dr. Chike Nwankwo, former Director of sports
  • Distinguished Research professor Casimir Chike Akoh, former president
  • Professor Gabriel Chidolue, former president,
  • Professor Bernice Ezeilo, former sec.
  • Professor Dan Ezeasor, former president
  • Mr. Enuma Okoli, former President
  • Barrister Kachidebelu Bielu, former president

  • and lots of others whom time won’t permit us to mention.

Time: 9am-12noon.

Ezeasor will present a lecture on the :”Nanka students union of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow : Defining the role of students in nation building in the 21st century” Awards will be presented to former presidents beginning from 1959. Prof Casimir Akoh bags 2 awards

Casimir C. Akoh, a Distinguished Research Professor of Food Science and Technology in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, received two awards – a Fellow/WABAB Academician, with his election by the International Society of Biocatalysis and Biotechnology, and the Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Nigeria Alumni and Friends Association, USA.
